I have lived in the Bay Area for 30 years. am a dad and partner, but you won't see me broadcasting my private life much. birdsite had been my only social media, and I used it to share & hype arts and thoughts that excite me & will do the same here. #audio is my weapon of choice. There are 20+ known
#AudioSynthesis types. The most popular being:
Combined with #Sampling, #modulating, #Layering, & #FX, these audio engines cover the majority of sound generation from the majority of #Synthesizer #Plugins created.
Unless a #synth provides a special character, there is no point in having more than a couple of synths.
#OpenSource has most everything you need.
Don’t collect synths for #patches, learn the tools you have.

FSA Cymbols - analog-inspired cymbal/percussion synth (win, free/donationware)
Cymbols is a percussion synthesizer specifically designed for electronic cymbal and hihat sounds. The methods it uses to synthesize sounds are derived mostly from old analog drum machines (with a few tweaks), though it is not designed to specifically emulate any one machine or series of machines.
I’m a web designer by day working with global tech companies, electronic music tinkerer by night creating drifting chilled-out lo-fi grooves. New album out in January 2023.
I’m also a dad to a growing teenager and husband to a wife that doesn’t get my music! A fanatical fly fisherman travelling the UK and writing about it with my brother at beardybros.co.uk
