Greetings, friends and enemies alike. For those who don't know me, I wish to give a small introduction about myself. I am Joseph King, a totally blind musician currently residing in Texas, United States. I play #drums, #piano, #guitar (sort of), #melodica, a minuscule amount of #accordion (shame I don't have one anymore) #djembe, and finally I'm also a #vocalist. I'm a lover of jazz, baroque, romantic, classical, 90's country, bluegrass, funk, fusion, latin and some instrumental metal for flavor. Most of what I post here will probably more often than not consist of odd ramblings and the like, but I will try to post some audio of me performing/practicing as well if folks are interested.

I've not recorded any new material that I can upload there, however, so it's sadly a little out of date. Finally finished what I started last weekend: assembling a Flying V replica kit by Harley Benton! A bit of IKEA, Lego and "little luthier" altogether, really fun. After tuning the pickups height a bit, it really rocks 💪🎸

One of my all-time favourite guitar players is Gary Moore, who was famous for his amazing and emotional guitar touch. "The Prophet" is a perfect example of that, so I decided to try and cover it, using a "GARY MOORE" preset on my DNAfx GiT Core.
It's full of mistakes because:
1. I'm a sloppy player!
2. it's *not* an easy song
3. it's meant for 24 frets guitar but I wanted to use a Les Paul (22 frets)
Nevertheless, I hope you'll enjoy it anyway!
I took some time to write about my new DNAfx Git Core editor, how I added HTTP/WebSocket support to it, and how I used that to implement a dumb MIDI controller for the device. Hope you'll enjoy the read!

I play #guitar, run #BletchleyMathsJam (my local #MathsJam), try to keep up with #movies, and have a habit of smooshing bits of different interests and hobbies together to see what happens. I'm a fan of the Oxford comma, but not necessarily consistent in its use.

A recent #opensourcehardware project I made is the #Guitar Pico, a super cheap guitar pedal using common, cheap parts and sporting 25 effects that can be cascaded. It has a stomp pedal for changing effects, can be using to tune, acts as a MIDI device, is configurable through USB, and uses expression pedals and standard 9V power. #VGA output for visual effects is not implemented in software yet.

I've been thinking about a #progrock concept album for quite some time. Central theme are the Rivers of Hades and its characters, one track for each of the five rivers, three subchapters per river. Obviously there has to be an #acoustic #guitar solo.
This is Styx Part II, The River Nymph. Perhaps I'll add some shimmering metallic sounds to paint the lofty grotto supported by silver columns where she lives.
Well, only 14 more parts to go then ;) Next: Cerberus the three headed hellhound...
I'm super stoked: I was sitting next to one of my guitar heroes waiting for my plane to start boarding, and I didn't realise until he started talking to someone else and I recognized the voice! I love Matteo Mancuso, and he's even nicer in person than I thought he'd be! If you don't know him, do pay a listen to his debut album "Journey", it's sensational. His interview with Rick Beato is a must watch too, if you enjoy guitar playing (even more if you play too!)

New layoffs, new #introduction
Hi! I'm Hugh from Ireland, but living in Amsterdam.
