House Republicans voted to *CUT* Customs and Border Protection personnel, opposed #POTUS' record-breaking #border #security funding proposal & refused to take up the #President’s supplemental funding request. Actions speak louder than words.
Meanwhile, republicans demand to shut the government down. ☠️
It’s so confusing to me that the House republicans said, “Shut down the border or we shut the government down!”
Do they understand that the border is monitored & laws are enforced by federal government employees ?!
How do you go all the way to the border, take a pic, & leave just as clueless as you were before you arrived 😒?

Republicans will never vote to solve border problems. Ever.
So, let me get this straight: The Senate has reached a BIPARTISAN border deal, but “Speaker” Mike Johnson just said he refuses to even consider it. NONE of this is President Biden’s or Democrats’ fault. This is all on Republicans & it’s beneath contempt. They simply don’t care.
Again, REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS reached a bipartisan border deal. But this is how Mike Johnson decided to respond. They aren’t engaged in any serious policy making whatsoever. It’s all revenge politics & it’s revolting.
They need to have something to run on. The economy is doing well. Jobs are growing.
"If they allow efforts to address the border issue to pass, Republicans lose their main talking point. They'd rather keep the border as a cudgel to use during the election." Repubs want a wedge issue.
