Parramatta Town Hall, opened in 1883. It is an ornate sandstone structure on the eastern side of the square. It connects to the recently opened Phive library and community centre.

@ajsadauskas I used to go to computer markets at the old town hall in the 90s. Once got a HP flatbed scanner (just a scanner, no printing or even fax) for $500 there.

You don't get bargains like that any more.

The church across the way was where my former in-laws were married. I hope they're doing well. It's fine gaining new family when you get married, but sad losing them when you divorce.

@katyswain @ajsadauskas I kinda miss old fashioned computer swap meets.

It looks like they still happen in Melbourne, but Sydney misses out: http://www.technologymarkets.com.au/

Perhaps it's time to organise an old fashioned computer swap meet and a computer users group at Parra town hall?
