@ashleyspencer @actuallyautistic Just heard of The Daily Tism. Looks like something I'd be interested in... ...aaaand their RSS has shit broken settings that cut all the articles off and thus is useless. I'll ask them to fix it.. oh, can't find anywhere to contact them. 👎🏻

@ashleyspencer @actuallyautistic Sorry to be a bitch about it but setting RSS to useless mode is a pet peeve of mine. Why have RSS if you don't enable full text? Imagine setting your TV to "Show me only the theme song and episode title" mode, or getting books that only have the first 3 pages. or DVDs that stop after the opening credits.

Some benefits of enabling full text RSS include -
RSS works well on e-readers, allowing me to set the text to something I can read easier.
This allows for TTS, for users who need that.
RSS is easily cached, as most RSS reads do that by default, allowing for offline reading.
RSS is easily accessed in a distraction free environment - I remember reading a large number of autists also have ADHD, self included.
Please, someone tell them to turn on full text RSS!
