@lminiero @ambergrey I think I prefer using a capo to alt or open tunings for similar reasons. Chord shapes are the same - just a matter of learning what key I’m in when capo is affixed.
@NigelTufnel @lminiero I saw Chords of Orion using two capos yesterday and I was like…that’s two many capos! Or is it
@ambergrey @NigelTufnel @lminiero Using multiple capos to emulate alternative tunings is a cunning move.

I tried DADGAD but for the life of me I don’t get why it’s not DADGbAD. Such a pain to get minor chords with the former, such a breeze to get major chords with the latter…
@sknob @elsemusic @ambergrey @NigelTufnel maybe the point is to force you to be happy: minor chords are just too sad 😄
@lminiero but minor chords make me happy 🥹😄
@elsemusic @ambergrey @NigelTufnel
@sknob @elsemusic @ambergrey @NigelTufnel you and me both! Besides, as Bill Bailey said in one of his fantastic music comedy sketches, major chords are just too eager to please ("like me, like me, like me, like me, I'm a major key!")

@lminiero what a great skit! Thanks for the discovery 😂😂😂

@sknob @elsemusic @ambergrey @NigelTufnel oh if you've never heard of him, he really is great! An amazing comedian who's also a great musician, so many of his bits are centered around music (he did a special at the Royal Albert Hall using the entire orchestra for that 😁 )
@lminiero I watched a couple of videos and I can’t wait to watch some more. Thanks again!
